Mr. Cheeks stars in new Reality Show, Come Back Kings
Interviewed and written by Aaron Robinson - Editor

Lights, camera, action!, is the phrase that I could hear Ed Lover, actor and executive director of Come Back Kings say to the hip hop icon Mr. Cheeks on the set of the reality show when he finds his queue.  Mr. Cheeks, who is also a member of the legendary group The Lost Boyz will star in the reality show alongside Anthony “Treach” Criss, Dupre “Doitall” Kelly, Black Rob, Jermaine Hopkins, “Talent” Harris, June Balloon, “Super Producer,” Jameio, and Nashawn Kearse. The 30 minute reality show recently aired nationally on the AMG-TV network.

I had the opportunity to interview Mr. Cheeks who brought you hit songs such as “Lights, Camera, Action,” “Till We Meet Again”, and “Crush On You.” He released a multitude of songs with The Lost Boyz which include “Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless”, “Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz”, and “Renee”, just to name a few. Here is what he shared with the readers regarding Come Back Kings, along with his new projects.

Aaron Robinson: What captivated you to want to partake in the reality show Come Back Kings?
Mr. Cheeks: I seen what it was about and just fell into it. It’s not like the regular reality shows; it’s not the show that you already got out there. It got some different things going on. It’s a bunch of good guys. I love to be around them dudes.  It’s a beautiful thing that I’m involved in right now.

Aaron: What did you like most about being a part of the show?
Mr. Cheeks: Aww man, everything about the show is what I like…the traveling, the ill spots, the cigar spots. We do a lot of things in this show, as far as even the yoga and things of that nature. I have never done a TV show like a reality show.

Aaron: Did you gain any new experiences as oppose to being a national recording artist?
Mr. Cheeks: Yeah, it’s like you’re really involved in something! It’s nothing like being followed around with a camera and you’re really wilding out.

Aaron: Were there any challenges that you faced on the show while being an actor as oppose to being an artist?
Mr. Cheeks: It’s not really any challenges; it’s just about being yourself. It’s something like Househusbands of Hollywood. It’s a different thing. It’s not that many challenges man. You get that call telling you when you gotta show up, and they tell you what it is and you fall into what it gotta be. That’s the bottom line.

Aaron: Besides the reality show, can we expect any other upcoming projects from you in the future?
Mr. Cheeks: I have a record out now on Wunder Twinz Records, it’s called “Raised”. It’s on ITunes right now. Hit me off at www.MrCheeksLBFam.com. You can reach me at www.wundertwinzrecords.com. Also, hit me on that Instagram MrCheeksLBFam, on FaceBook I’m MrCheeksOfficial and Twitter @MrCheeksLBFam.

Aaron: Would you like to add anything in closing?
Mr. Cheeks: Thank you for having me man and for taking the time out to listen to what I gotta say with everything. I appreciate you for letting me get a little shout out. [I would like to give] a shout out to all the fans that still love and support the LB family…you know what it is man! New York in the building, yeah, let’s go!

Aaron: I truly thank you for your time Mr. Cheeks. It’s an honor to speak with you sir.
Mr. Cheeks: Appreciate the love brother! Salute!
